On my mind today, and most of the week, has been spinning. My fingers are itching to feel the soft fluff of fiber moving between them, hearing the soft whir of the wheel. It’s so soothing to me, I can’t help but smile as I spin.
I’ve misplaced the rods to my Lazy Kate over the holiday, as soon as I can find or replace them I can ply this merino-silk-angora blend and move on to the huge bag of alpaca/soysilk blend that I bought over a year ago. I think I’m finally skilled enough to spin it right for my woven triangle shawl project. While I’m no expert spinner, it’s a good feeling to know that I’ve accomplished a level of competence that allows me to make actual use of what I’m spinning.
